When not shredding his guitar like a motherbitch in Hail! The Planes, Josef shreds like a motherbitch in orchestral pop band Winter Villains. They have just released this wonderful video for the new single ‘Moon’, taken from their forthcoming debut album (to be released on Barely Regal Records):
A bit good, eh? The On Par boys have done a cracking job. Can’t wait to get my hands on the album!
Also, congratulations to our friends Los! Campesinos, Islet, Future of the Left, Cate Le Bon, Kutosis and Truckers of Husk on being shortlisted for the Welsh Music Prize - they’re all blimmin great albums. There’s a lot of Welsh music to get excited about at the moment.
Right then, off to End of the Road festival. See you there?

Swn is less than two weeks away and we’re all very excited. We have been extremely lucky in being invited to play the Barely Regal stage with a load of very exemplary bands. It’ll be a blooming hoot! This’ll be our first show since February, and we’ll be playing three entirely new tracks. We’ll also be accompanied by a two piece horn section. Lots of reasons to be excited/nervous.
We’ll also be giving away a 5-track EP of ‘Brother’ remixes at the show. The EP will feature these fine, fine people;
Trwbador - Avant pop duo from Carmarthen. Odd, brilliant.
R.Seiliog - A moral and mysterious man. Drummer with H.Hawkline/Yoke.
Charlie Francis - Produced the original ‘Brother, I’m sinking’ record. Is legend.
Zwolf - Spooky multi-instrumentalist producer. Got mad skills.
Alexander Comana - Of Among Brothers fame. Italianted guy.
Can’t wait.

We said we weren’t going to do any shows for a while so Holly can finish writing her novel, and so we could write some more songs. Saying and doing are two very different things, so we are pleased to announce that we’ll be supporting Cardiff’s alt-pop-clicky-noisey-pretty band Among Brothers on the launch of their ep ‘Homes’ in Clwb Ifor Bach next month. They twisted our arm(s)! But we’re determined to play something new for this one, even if it goes to shit. Watch out.
The AB record will be officially released early next year by Barely Regal Records, but you’ll be able to get your mitts on a copy at the show. And you should, because it’ll be dead good.

Hope we see you there,
